Android Phone Apps for Pet Owners

For those of us who do not have iPhones there are a many apps available that are useful and fun for us and our pets. If you have an Android phone, the following apps can come in handy when traveling with your pet or just home but need some information at your fingertips.

1: Pet – an application to find all pet related services around you. It will pinpoint your location and show you the nearest dog parks, vets, doggie daycare, groomers, pet friendly hotels, and much more. It’s a great app if you’re in a new city or in a new part of town and want to know what’s around you. Pet is a free app and can be found under the category of Shopping.

2: PetMap – is a social networking app for those who are on Android phones and want to share their pet’s videos, photos, and information. You can set your location and share information about your pet. You can also find other pets in your area or around the globe. The app is free and can be found in the Lifestyle category.

3: Need a dog whistle? There’s an app for that. Dog Whistle is a simple app that allows you to train and reinforce commands with your dog. You can choose the pitch of the whistle and duration. The app costs $1.40 and is under Tools.

    you can search in the android market and read the reviews in case you find the app may not be right for you. :)
