Carl Schurz Park has 2 dog runs and you can take a walk past Gracie Mansion. The park is open from dawn to 1am and is located on East End Ave and East 84th st by the East River.
St. Nicholas Dog Park is one of the largest parks in the city. It has varied terrain and a small dog area. There is also a monthly coffee social that the park hosts called Coffee Bark. The park is open from dawn to 10pm and is located at St. Nicholas Ave and West 136th st.
Washington Square Park has 2 dog runs, one for large and playful dogs and one for smaller and slower dogs. The park itself is always full of people playing chess, playing music, and sitting around soaking in the sun. The fenced off parks are near Thompson Street. The park itself is located at 1 Washington Square North, which is between West 4th Street and Waverly Place and is open from 6am to midnight.
Palmetto Playground is a huge dog park that has 2 runs. The main run has a hill and a few picnic tables for you to sit at. The smaller park is a fenced off area for smaller dogs and older dogs. The park is on a hill that is used for sledding during the winter. It’s near the Brooklyn Queens Expressway and afterwards you can take a nice walk along the Promenade or get some ice cream down at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge. The park is located at 48 Columbia Street and is open from dawn to 10pm.
