Participants will be jogging through the streets to support Dove Lewis, the 24 hour emergency hospital in the northwest part of the city.
It’s a 5K run and runners can register with or without a dog. It is expected that there may be as many as 750 runners this year. The day starts at 9am and participants will be gathering at the Lucky Lab Pub located at 1945 NW Quimby in Portland. Registration is $30 for individuals. There are also group registration prices available if you are going to run with a team.
A course map is available on the Dove Lewis website when you register as well as some additional details. There will be a professional photographer on hand to take pics of all the runners as well as a time keeper to see who places with the best time. Strollers are welcome if you have little ones who you want to take out with you as you do the course.
All dogs who enter must be up to date with vaccines, socialized, and ok with big crowds. The race starts and ends at Lucky Lab so you’ll be able to grab some food and drink afterwards.
