Good and Bad Snacks for Pets

A lot of pet snacks seem to have food that we eat in them like sweet potato, blueberries, and carrots. I’m not saying we should start eating our pet’s snacks but we can probably make our own snacks for them that are healthy and they will enjoy. There are also people snacks that aren’t good for our four-legged buddies.

Here are a list of the foods that are good for them:

1: Apples – without the seeds and core. Peel, chop them up into small snack sized pieces and you have the perfect training treat!

2: Blueberries

3: Strawberries

4: Watermelon – no seeds but this one can be messy

5: Green beans

6: Carrots

7: Sweet potato – cooked, cubed, or mashed without any seasoning or butter. Regular potatoes are ok too but they have more sugar so small doses or else your pet might gain weight.

8: Squash

9: Catnip or cat grass

10: Spinach

Avoid these snacks:

1: Grapes

2: Raisins

3: Garlic and Onions

4: Avocado

5: Tomatoes

6: Peaches, cherries, plums, and other fruits with pits

7: Macadamia nuts
