Labrador Retrievers are the most popular breed of dog in the US, so almost every state has a club for them!

Labrador Retriever Club of the Piedmont

The Labrador Retriever Club of the Piedmont was started in 1984, and is based out of North Carolina. Its members are active in Labrador conformation, obedience, agility, rally and field competition. They also hold monthly meetings and training sessions, an Annual Quail Hunt, two annual Hunt Tests, fun matches and other such activities. Their website lists a breeder directory for around North Carolina. People who want to become part of the club should look at the application.

Mid-Jersey Labrador Retriever Club

The Mid-Jersey LRC is relatively active, putting on meetings and events like specialty shows, health clinics and holiday parties. Those interested in adopting one of these dogs should check out their litter listings and rescue networking. They also know of many breeders in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania regions, and have resources on adopting a Labrador.

Jersey Skylands Labrador Retriever Club, Inc

This New Jersey Lab club is active around northwestern New Jersey, southern New York and eastern Pennsylvania. Their members consist of Labrador Retriever breeders, trainers, exhibitors and owners who seek to promote this breed’s perfection. These people also attend meetings, as well as a variety of events like educational workshops, specialty shows and fun days. The club also does breeder referrals and publishes occasional newsletters.

They are open to new members joining.

Rose City Labrador Retriver Club

This club is based out of Portland, Oregon, and has members that range from Labrador Retriever owners to competitors to breeders to trainers to hunters. They organize a variety of annual events, like matches, hunt tests, obedience trials and other activities. Some members also publish newsletters. People around this area who want to adopt should take a look at their listings of litters, available older dogs and breeder listings.

The Iroquois Labrador Retriever Club, Inc

This club is based out of Western New York, northwestern Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio. Its members are active in events like meetings, picnics, hunt tests and specialty shows. Their website lists breeders around the Western NY region. They also publish some newsletters.

Northern Ohio Labrador Retriever Club

The Northern Ohio Labrador Retriever Club was founded in 1981, and hold monthly meetings, as well as annual events like awards banquets, picnics, eye clinics, specialty shows, Christmas parties and more. They also know of a handful of breeders in Ohio and several rescue organizations.

Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association

This club is based out of Washington state, and it promotes the Labrador Retriever as an All-Around Dog. They are very active, and involved in conformation, obedience, agility and tracking events, as well as some fun, training and educational activities. They also have a long list of breeders around the West Coast. This club invites new people to apply to be members.

Miami Valley Labrador Retriever Club

This club is based around the Cincinnati area, and its members participate in field trials, obedience training, conformation showing, rescue work, breeding, sport hunting and other Labrador-related activities. The Miami Valley LRC holds various meetings and fun days throughout the year. They also list breeders around Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Pennsylvania.

Central Ohio Labrador Retriever Club

The Central Ohio Labrador Retriever Club has members around Columbus, Ohio. They hold monthly meetings, and sometimes put together specialty shows. They also have some Lab rescue resources for the area. People who want to join may apply for membership online.

Greater Pittsburgh Labrador Retriever Club

This Lab club is dedicated to responsible ownership, ethical breeding and the advancement of qualities of the breed. They have monthly meetings in Moon Township, and put on some shows and do field training for dogs. There are some local breeders and litter listings on their website.

Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Club

The Lake Erie Labrador Retriever Club is a group in Ohio that organizes meetings, all-breed clinics, picnics, holiday dinners, auctions, shows and other such events. They also list litters and have some rescue contacts. Those who want to be part of this club can take a look at the eligibility requirements and application.

Coastal South Carolina Lab Retriever Club

This club is dedicated to Labs and owners in the Coastal Carolinas, and is occasionally involved in events like picnics and dog shows. Click here to look at a membership application.

Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club

The Pawcatuck River LRC is based out of Rhode Island. They hold occasional activities, like fun days and demonstrations. Their website has a page regarding membership information.

Heart of Texas Labrador Retriever Club

The Heart of Texas Labrador Retriever Club is based out of Austin, and has members anywhere from San Antonio to Waco. The collective club supports members in areas of field trials, conformation, service, education, therapy, obedience, health and companionship. Dallas-Ft Worth Labrador Retriever Club
