What: Leprechauns and Labradoodles St. Patrick’s Day Party
Where: Morris Animal Inn 120 Sand Spring Road Morristown. NJ
When: March 14, 2012 9am to 4:30pm
It’s a fun day that will have contests, games, and a parade. Your dog can participate in the “Leprechaun Wrestling Match,” “Parade O’ Pups,” or have their picture taken wearing their green shamrocks with pride. Your dog must be up to date with vaccines and friendly with other dogs and already have played at Morris Animal Inn to participate. What: 1st Annual Bark For Life
Where: Berniece Bennet Park 31800 Village Center Road Westlake Village, Ca
When: March 18, 2012 11am to 3pm
Admission: $20 to register
Bark For Life is a non-competitive walk event for dogs and their owners. It raises funds to fight cancer in cooperation with the American Cancer Society. Bring your best furry friend, walk with others, and participate in contests, games, and activities. You can register online or the day of the event at 10am. What: The 3rd Annual Brooklyn Mutt Show
Where: Brooklyn Lyceum 227 4th Ave Brooklyn, NY
When: March 24 – 25, 2012 11am to 7pm
Admission: Suggested Donation of $25 for dogs to enter contest
This event is gaining a reputation as being the “fun alternative to Westminster” in Brooklyn. The money raised is to going to help animal rescue and rehabilitation organizations. There will be a chance to have your dog’s photo taken by James Morrissey of Wild Coyote Studio who also does the photos for the dogs at Westminster in the green room. There will be competitions and classes on CPR and other health related issues with pets. The contests for “curliest tail” and “looks like their owner” are on the agenda and food, prizes, and animals for adoption will be present. For more information call 845-628-6263.
