The shortest month of year is going to be one of the most pet friendly ones ever! There are so many cool events for you and your pets to head to and meet others who love their pets just like you do. It might be cold outside, but that shouldn’t keep you from having fun. From dog shows, to adoption events, to fundraisers, February is going to be a busy!

Pet Events in the USA – February 2014
Lehigh Valley Pet Expo
Fun for the whole family is on the docket at the Lehigh Valley Pet Expo. The Pet Expo is designed to educate, entertain, and amaze guests. There will be demonstrations, chances to meet some awesome dogs, and animals available for adoption. Vendors will be on hand selling the latest and greatest products too. Your pet is welcome to come as long as they are on a leash, well-behaved, and up to date on vaccines.
Pet First Aid Certification Course

This is a veterinarian approved certification course that will teach you preventative care, what to do to avoid injuries, and how to recognize injuries. You will learn the techniques of properly holding and restraining a pet, how to bandage an injury, and other medical techniques that will give you the tools to know what to do in an emergency. This course is geared for pet professionals and registration open now.
14th Annual Super Pet Expo
Going to be in NJ? Then stop at the Super Pet Expo where there will be fun, plenty of pets to meet, demonstrations, and vendors. Spend the day or weekend meeting other pet lovers and maybe go home with a new family member from one of the many rescue groups that will be there. Your pet is welcome to come as long as he’s leashed and ok with groups of people and other animals. This is going to be big so don’t miss it!
Posh Pooch 2014
A great line up vendors, demonstrations, good food, and performances for the whole family to enjoy is on the list for this great event. Bring your pup and get ready to spend the day laughing, smiling, and possibly going home with a new family member from one of the many adoption booths that will be there.
Come and play at Puppalooza! Participate in the competitions and you and your pup may go home with a medal. Go visit the vendor booths and if your dog need a microchip or new toys, you can get them here. Does your dog have the best singing voice? Maybe she’s the best catcher ever! Whatever her talent is you can show it off and maybe go home with a doggie bag of prizes.
PetSmart Weiner Dog Derby
If your little dachshund is a champion, then bring her down and enter her into the race! This is the 18th Annual Weiner Dog Derby sponsored by PetSmart. There will be bleachers for watchers to sit and cheer on their favorite little dog. The registration begins at 10am and races will go throughout the morning and afternoon until all the heats are done.
PAWS Chicago’s Eighth Annual Animal Magnetism
