There are so many cool events for you and your pets to head to and meet others who love their pets just like you this upcoming March. It might be cold outside, but that shouldn’t keep you from having fun. From dog shows, to adoption events, to fundraisers, March is busy and the fur is flying!
Check out the events listed and if you’re not near any of these, check with your local humane society and newspaper for local pet events.

Pet Remembrance Candlelight Ceremony
Come celebrate your beloved pets who are no longer with us. This year’s service ill have music, readings, and inspirational words. Pets are not allowed to come, but bring the whole family. If you would like your pet to be included in the reading of names of pets who have passed, please submit a photo to pet candlelightceremony.
Pet First Aid and CPR
Join PetTech and Barkfield Road for Pet First Aid to learn what to do in case your pet ever needs life saving CPR. You’ll learn what to do if your pet is choking, how to properly handle injured pets, poison emergencies, and much more. A 2 year-certificate and take home manual included in class. RSVP as soon as possible because space is limited!
8th Annual Doggie Derby
When: March 14, 2015 10am to 2 pm
Where: Corrine Commons in Baldwin Park 1913 Meeting Place, Orlando, FL

Come out and watch dogs run a 25-yard sprint race. Some dogs run for treats, and others just for the love of running. Watch how the owners coax and cajole their dogs to run. Proceeds benefit the Bightside Events Stock the Pantry Program. If you would like to register you dog, it’s $15.
Wag-n-Walk Bake Sale
Enter to compete in the 1 mile or 2 mile walk or join the non-competitive walk. It’s $15 for one person and a dog to walk, each additional dog is $2. There will also be microchipping available for your pet and plenty of fun to be had. It’s a great way to spend a morning. Don’t forget to dress your pet up for the Best Costume Competition!
President’s Birthday Celebration
Join Paws to People and have an afternoon that is sure to be fun. The party will have snacks for you and your pup! Play the Selfies in the Park game and take pics of you and your furry buddy, participate in games, and learn a little First Aid too. The day is packed with activities and vendors who will be selling the latest and greatest pet products.
Run/Walk Four Paws
Sign up early because space is limited to 300 people. Dogs participating in the walk will receive their own goodie bag. The race starts at 7:30 am and the walk starts at 8:00 am. Awards begin at 9:00am. Early bird? This is the perfect event for you then! Come out and meet other pet lovers, get some morning exercise and then spend the rest of the day shopping at the booths, eating, and hanging out with your best furry friend.
