Need help deciding where to stay in Portland, Or? There are several pet friendly hotels in Portland located in fun areas. Don’t forget to take a walk along the waterfront and across one of the many bridges that stretch across the Willamette River. Your dog may love hanging out at the Lucky Lab Brew Pub or a long hike around Mt. Tabor or Washington Park. But when it’s time to nap, rest, and crash from an exciting day one of these places may be the perfect home away from home for you and your furry buddy.

The Jupiter Hotel is a fun hotel located on the east side of Portland and is next door to Doug Fir, a restaurant and music venue. It has 81 rooms and each of them is pet friendly, has a huge mural on the wall (one has a Buddha and another has Marilyn Monroe), and the furniture looks like it has come from Ikea. It’s a great place to stay if you’re looking to be near lots of clubs, bars, and funky shops. Up to two pets are allowed for an additional fee of $30 a night per pet. Your pet will have a pet bed to sleep on, a welcome basket, and doggie bags for cleanup while on a walk taking in the vibe of the east side. The Jupiter Hotel is located at 800 East Burnside Street and rates start at $90 a night. For more information call 503-230-9200 or visit their website at http://www.jupiterhotel.com.

The Heathman Hotel is located downtown at 1001 Southwest Broadway and allows up to two pets per room for an additional fee of $35 a night. It’s an elegant hotel down in the shopping and arts district of Portland. There’s a gym on site, plenty of avenues to stroll around, theaters, museums, and not too far from the MAX train. The pet who stay here are welcomed with a goodie bag, a walking tour map for you and your buddy, and a choice of a tempurpedic, featherbed, or pillowtop bed for your pet to snooze on. They also have complimentary vouchers for a pet exam at Banfield Pet Hospital. For more information call 503-241-4100.

Hotel Lucia is also located downtown at 400 Southwest Broadway and allows up to two dogs for an additional fee of $45 a day for the first pet and $22 for the second pet. They offer a fluffy pet bed for your friend and treats. The rooms are luxurious and have a very modern and unique design. If you’re looking to be in the heart of downtown, steps away from shopping, nightlife, and arts, then Lucia might be the place to stay. When you make your reservation, be sure to mention that you will be arriving with a pet. They ask that all pets be up to date with vaccines, friendly, and housebroken.
