<description>Announcing the 5th annual BowWow PowWow on Saturday, October 15, 2011
11am-5pm ON 18TH St. NW in Adams Morgan:

In continuing partnership with the Marie Reed Learning Center, the
AdamsMorgan MainStreet Group and the Washington Humane Society are
excited to announce the 5th annual BowWow PowWow to the DC community.
This fall festival offers a fun, family friendly environment designed to educate
and appreciate the Adams Morgan animal-centric community.

This year we will begin the festival with the DC Walk for the Animals at Marie
Reed Learning Center, located at 2200 Champlain St. NW, Washington DC
20050. 100% of the proceeds of this walk will be used for pet programs and
services for the DC metro area. To register for the walk, please visit this
website www.dcanimalwalk.org. The walk is from 12-2pm.

Following the walk, attendees can enjoy the rest of the BowWow PowWow pet
festival, including several educational components on pet health, pet first-aid,
and general training. There will be K-9 exhibits, information on cat and dog
adoption, and pet-related workshops. Pets can participate and win prizes in
interactive dog contests, like cutest puppy, least obedient, biggest dog, best dressed etc. In addition to the many pet related showcases, you will have the opportunity shop for unique pet products and accessories, as well as other specialty arts and crafts from local vendors.

Whether you are a pet lover or not, this event has something for everyone: kids,
adults, families, and spectators. Join us on Saturday, October 15th and tell
your friends!
