If you plan on being in Florida within the next two weeks, there are a few nice events to look into, many of which are dog-friendly. They have activities for people and dogs with a variety of interests, such as charity walkathons, baseball games, portraits and fashion shows.
Spay Pasco Tails N’ Trails
This will be the first annual walkathon to benefit Spay Pasco.
Registration will start at 8:00 AM, and then the walk will begin at 8:30 and go on until noon. Minimum pledge is $10. Dogs and humans are welcome to walk.
Spring Bling Dog Fashion Show
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
This fashion show will go on from 4:00-6:00 PM, and is a $5 suggested donation for dogs in need, and you get a small doggy bag with some product samples. If you want your dog in the contest, there is a $15 registration fee, and you should bring them dressed to impress. There will be indoor vendors in addition to the outdoor contest. Leashed, well behaved dogs are welcome to attend.
Greyt Spring Roo
San Orlando Kennel Club
This will be a fun dog-filled day that will go on from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. Admission is $5 for adults, and free for children under 10. There will be pet photography for $12, along with canine massage, a BBQ, bake sale, dog costume contest, dog games, guest speakers, $8 dog nail care and many other interesting activities for families and dogs.
Bark at the Park
Sun Life Stadium
Miami Gardens, Florida
The game begins at 7:10 PM, but you should purchase the tickets in advance. The game will cost $12 for adults, $6 for kids and $6 for dogs. The tickets sold for dogs will go to benefit the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
Paws for a Cause
This will be a free event going on from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM. There will be pet adoptions, raffles, games, prizes, crafts, fresh produce, product samples, pet portraits, animal vendors, clowns, face painting and other assorted fun. The proceeds will go to the SPCA of Orlando and the Leesburg Humane Society.

This event will be an awards luncheon, and will celebrate the human and animal heroes of the community. Registration will start at 11:30 AM, and the luncheon will start at 12:00 PM. There is a $40 suggested donation.
