HayDay 2009 and the Halloween Horse Rescue

This is a horse-themed Halloween festival, that also contains lots of fun family activities. It will feature hay rides, a petting zoo, barn tours, shopping, hay for sale, arts and crafts, raffles, food and beverages. There will also be a Halloween costume contest for kids. It will take place from 1:00-4:00 PM.

Don’t have kids to have fun with on Halloween? Don’t worry! You can dress up your dog for a costume contest, and they will give it a free treat. This event will take place from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. This is an event where children of all ages can come and read to specially trained service dogs. These sessions are open to the public, and are great if you want to encourage your kid to read and bond with animals. Click here for information about the new and used book shop.
Eighth Annual Paws for Cocktails
Park Tavern
Atlanta, Georgia
November 19
This will be a party to benefit dogs, from 5:30-9:00 PM. It is a $15 donation at the door, which includes complimentary food and drink. There will be a live auction, deals on holiday gifts, raffle, trivia, giveaway prizes and more. You can bring a picture of your pet and show it to a pet psychic too. Hundreds of people are expected to show up, so it will be a fun social occasion where you can meet other dog lovers. There will be celebrity hosts, such as Victoria Stilwell from Animal Planet’s “It’s Me or the Dog.”
This organization also often offers lost-cost microchip clinics, if you are interested in that. It costs $35, and usually takes place on Saturdays.
