K-9 Training Event

The K-9 Training Event will go on at the PETSURG & ER4PETS hospital, from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. There will be free samples of dog food, adoptable animals, as well as pet massage and experienced experts providing information on how to properly train pets.

Find My Dog a Date

San Diego, California

September 12

This will be the first-ever Find My Dog a Date event in San Diego, which will go on from 1:00-3:00 PM. It will feature goodies for dogs, raffle prizes and other fun activities.

Hollywood Dog Trick Contest

The Hollywood Dog Trick Contest will take place from 1:00-2:00 PM. It is free to enter, and the winners will receive some special prizes!

Strut Your Mutt

September 19

Strut Your Mutt will be hosted by the Best Friends Animal Society, and will be a morning 1-mile walk, followed by dog and human PAWty on the pier. Registration will begin at 6:30 AM, and the event will go on from 8:30-noon.

Interactive Animal Program

Clairemont Branch-San Diego Public Library

San Diego, California

September 24

The Interactive Animal Program is a free event at this library from 4:00-5:00 PM, and is meant for children in grades 1-6. It will help these young ones improve their reading skills, as well as play with animals, such as rabbits, guinea pigs and sometimes cats and dogs.

Tails at Twilight Gala

Old Richland Schoolhouse

San Marcos, California

September 25

The Tails at Twilight Gala is being organized by the Escondido Humane Society and PETCO, and will be from 4:00-10:00 PM. All guests will get food, wine, beer and entertainment, but VIP guests will also get specialty food and an auction preview. All of the leashed-well mannered dog guests will be treated to a dog goodie bag.

Regular tickets are $100, and VIP tickets are $200.

Traveling With Your Pet Workshop

La Habra, California

At 1:00 PM, there will be a useful, educational seminar and interactive workshop at this PETCO on how to safely travel with your pets while still having fun.
