If you are looking for some summer plans, there a few giant pet expositions coming up in the South and Midwest. You can pick up a new exotic animal as a new friend, watch some live sheep being herded, take a look at some hedgehogs or go shopping for some lovely new supplies for your pets!

Lee County Pet Expo

Lee Civic Center

North Fort Myers, Florida

June 5

This huge pet expo will take place from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, and will be a fun family event. Lots of non-profits will be there, like rescue groups and humane societies, and there will also be some entertainment like a reptile performance with alligators and a 15-foot python, a sheep herding demonstration, pet psychic readings (you must bring a picture of your pet) and face painting. You can shop for quality pet foods and baked goods, and other gear like collars, leashes and bowls. You can also find pet obedience trainers and sitters at this show.

It will also of course feature animals, like live cats, dogs, reptiles and birds. Only humans may attend this event. Be sure to check out nearby Fort Myers Beach where you can bring your dog to the beach with you.

All Animal Expo

Waukesha County Expo Center

Waukesha, Wisconsin

June 27

This All Animal Expo will go on from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM, and will cost $5 for admission to everyone over the age of 11. It will mostly be reptile themed, but there will also be an array of small exotic animals, spiders, scorpions, kittens, puppies, ducks and chickens. The vendors will be selling lots of discount supplies like live feed and other food items, tanks, bedding, toys, cages and more!

Chicago Pet Sales and Educational Expo

American Legion Building

Evanston, Illinois

July 17

This pet expo will go on from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM, with $5 admission or free for children under 5. This post has free parking, and is on a golf course in an air-conditioned building. There will be cats, dogs, parrots, sugar gliders, hedgehogs, ferrets, chinchillas, possums, snakes, turtles, insects and more! They will also be selling food and supplies for all these animals.
