Diamond Pet Food Recall

Diamond Pet Foods is expanding a voluntary pet food recall on Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul Adult Light formula dry food. One bag tested positive for salmonella and the recall of the following product codes is being conducted as a precautionary measure:

Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul Adult Light Formula Dry Dog Food – 35 lb bag with the product codes: CLF0102B31XCW, CLF0102B31XWR

Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul Adult Light Formula Dry Dog Food – 6 lb bag with the product code: CLF0102B3XALW

The food is manufactured by Diamond Pet Foods and was distributed in Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. From those states it may have further distributed and the company is working with retailers and distributors to remove the products from the supply chain.

If you have purchased a bag of the food with the product codes that are listed above, please discard the product. It is unknown if Diamond Pet Food will offer a refund or coupon but you can contact the company at 1-800-442-0402.

Pets who may have salmonella may show the following symptoms: decreased appetite, fever, abdominal pain, lethargy, and diarrhea. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms please see your vet and have your pet looked at for a proper diagnosis.
