San Diego, California, is a large, sprawled out city full of interesting neighborhoods and beautiful beaches along the Pacific Shoreline. A few of the beaches are dog parks, and there are lots of other things to explore, from Old Town to wineries to downtown. The weather in San Diego is nice almost year round!
Tip: It is best to travel in San Diego with a vehicle, especially if you have a dog with you!

Action Sport Rentals
Feeling adventurous? This place lets people rent all sorts of sporting equipment. People can rent boats and take their dogs on for no extra fee, so long as they provide their own dog life jacket! (Just make sure the dog doesn’t mess up the boat.)
Cinderella Carriage Company
This company offers fun tours in horse-led carriages of downtown San Diego and Balboa Park. This service operates from 6:00 PM-11:00 PM. Carriages can hold 3-4 people and a dog.
Old Town State Historic Park
This park is located in the premises of Old Town San Diego, where they hold a representation of life from 1821-1872. You can go there to check out the Spanish and Mexican influence on San Diego. Though dogs cannot go into any of the stores, people can still shop at the outdoor kiosks and listen to live music.
San Pasqual Winery
This winery is open on Saturdays and Sundays, and offers wines that come from Baja California in Mexico. They have open wine tasting during the summer, and by appointment from September through December. Leashed, well-behaved dogs can join you in the tasting room.

This service operates out of La Jolla, a fancy neighborhood north of San Diego. It is a pet vehicle that offers safe service for pets.
It serves local San Diego groomers, pet stores, dog shows, vet clinics/hospitals and airports. You should contact them beforehand to make a reservation. They also have services where they can sit with your pet, take them to the park or the beach or deliver food or supplies.

Coronado Dog Beach
This off-leash dog beach is located in Coronado, California, and is open 24 hours. Dogs must be leashed when they are off the beach, and food and treats are forbidden. Dogs can run around and swim in the water.
Del Mar Dog Beach
This off-leash dog beach is located in Del Mar, California, and is known to be clean and have friendly people. Dogs can run around and swim in the water.
Cleveland National Forest
This park has over 460,000 acres of forest, along with over 350 miles of trails. Leashed dogs can explore the trails with their owners.
Outdoor Restaurants
Brick Valley
This American-style bar and grill has a happy hour and vegetarian options. Dogs are allowed at the outdoor tables.
Kemo Sabe
This restaurant is located in the trendy Hillcrest district, and offers a fusion of New Mexican and Asian foods. Leashed dogs can join you at outdoor tables.
Pampas Argentine Grill
This grill offers traditional Argentinian regional dishes, especially with naturally raised chicken and beef. Leashed dogs are allowed on the patio.
