Dog-Friendly Vacationing in San Diego, California

San Diego, California, is a large, sprawled out city full of interesting neighborhoods and beautiful beaches along the Pacific Shoreline. Action Sport Rentals

Feeling adventurous? This place lets people rent all sorts of sporting equipment. People can rent boats and take their dogs on for no extra fee, so long as they provide their own dog life jacket! (Just make sure the dog doesn’t mess up the boat.)

Cinderella Carriage Company

This company offers fun tours in horse-led carriages of downtown San Diego and Balboa Park. This service operates from 6:00 PM-11:00 PM. Carriages can hold 3-4 people and a dog.

Old Town State Historic Park

This park is located in the premises of Old Town San Diego, where they hold a representation of life from 1821-1872. You can go there to check out the Spanish and Mexican influence on San Diego. Though dogs cannot go into any of the stores, people can still shop at the outdoor kiosks and listen to live music.

San Pasqual Winery

This winery is open on Saturdays and Sundays, and offers wines that come from Baja California in Mexico. They have open wine tasting during the summer, and by appointment from September through December. Leashed, well-behaved dogs can join you in the tasting room.
