Meet The Breeds: November 19 And 20, 2011

Hey New York! What are you doing this weekend? If you haven’t already bought them, get your tickets to go to Meet The Breeds at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. It’s this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. If you purchase them before the event, the tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children under 12. If you wait to buy them on the day of the event, it’s $15 for adults and $10 for children.

So, what is Meet The Breeds? It’s a two day event where you can meet over 200 breeds of dogs and cats. There will be hundreds of booths that are decorated with each breed in mind and have educational information about the breed. Also, there will be a few handsome and beautiful dogs and cats at each booth for you to meet. Last year over 39,000 people attended the event and got to meet, interact, and learn about all many different breeds of dogs, cats, and also watch demonstrations by agility trained dogs, K9 cops, and others.

This year’s event will be even bigger and have more dogs and cats, making it the largest showcase of dogs and cats and allows pet lovers a chance to play, pet, and learn about the traits, history, and what dog or cat might be best for their lifestyle. Meet the Breeds is an American Kennel Club event and aside from all the booths of animals there will be over 100 booths where you can shop and buy some of the coolest pet products, get free samples of different types of foods, and learn about how to be an even better pet parent. The demonstration rings are where attendees can watch dogs race around an agility course, run through an simulated hunting course, do some movie star tricks, and view some law enforcement simulations.

For more information visit the Meet The Breeds website and download the map and event schedule, buy your tickets, and get directions to the convention center. It’s a great event and a great way to spend a day with the family.
