Fresno Bully Rescue 2nd Anniversary Fundraiser

Bay to Barkers will be the 13th annual dog walk and festival, which will be a fundraiser for the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society and its recovery from a fire.

Registration for this walk will start at 8:30 AM, and the activities will take place from 10:00 AM-1:00 PM. There will be a 1-mile dog walk, games, contests and spa time. A bunch of different booths will be set up with vendors and information, such as rescue networks, dog treat companies, photography and more.

Swiss Dog Day Afternoon

The 13th Annual Swiss Dog Day Afternoon will take place from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM. It will be themed around several Swiss breeds, like Bernese, Entlebucher, Greater Swiss, Appenzeller Mountain Dogs and Saint Bernards. There will be conformation, obedience and rally workshops, and people can enter their dogs into Canine Good Citizen Tests or the Mountain Dog Trialothon. This event will also have a Swiss-style BBQ, a raffle and other fun activities.

Petpix will go on at PETSURG, a veterinary hospital, from 3:00-7:00 PM. It will be a pet photography event that will cost a $5 deposit.

The Pet Care Seminar will take place from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM. It will cover topics like when to visit the ER, how to take care of dogs’ teeth, pet massage, exercising pets and keeping a safe domestic environment for pets.

Upcoming Reptile Events in the Country

The Lone Star Reptile Expo will occur from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM on Saturday, and from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM on Sunday. Admission for one day is $7 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under; for two days, it is $12 for adults and $5 for children. Many different types of vendors will be present, selling animals like snakes and bearded dragons, and supplies like crickets, cages and reptile snacks.

Some of the different birds at this event will include Conures, Canaries, Finches and others. There will be an abundance of supplies for bird owners, including feed, nutritional supplements, medicines, nesting boxes, toys, accessories and other such products.

This will be the 6th annual Horse and Hound Wine Festival, which will take place from 11:00 AM-6:00 PM. There will be lots of wines for sale, as well as dog agility demonstrations with obstacles, weave holes and tunnels. They will also have a parade of horses. The hounds will test their instincts and skills with lure coursing, where a dog runs a mock rabbit chase, and muskrat races.

The Horse and Hound Wine Festival will have live entertainment, all sorts of food vendors and other vendors selling crafts. This event is $15 at the gate, $10 in advance, $5 for dogs and children, and free for children under 2.
