Reptile lovers will be pleased to know that several different expos, conferences and sales will be happening this Saturday and Sunday.

20th Annual ETHS Reptile Breeders Expo

This will be the East Texas Herpetological Society’s 20th annual expo, conference and educational exhibit. It will be open to the public starting Saturday, and there will be a variety of talks by respected herpetologists, along with a banquet and auction later on in the evening. On Sunday, this event will feature thousands of captive-bred amphibians and reptiles, as well as vendors selling all sorts of gear from around the country. The expo will also feature a free educational exhibit on the native reptiles and amphibians of East Texas.

South Central Kentucky Reptile Breeders Show

This will be the 2nd annual Fall “Captive Bred Only” Reptile Sale brought on by this organization. Admission for this show will be $3 for adults, and free for children under 6, and it will take place from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM.

Midwest Reptile Show

The Midwest Reptile Show will happen from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM, and is $5 for anyone over the age of 9. A number of vendors will be present, selling species like leopard geckos, morph boas, milk snakes, pythons and more. In terms of reptile food, they will be selling anything from rodents to pigeons to silkworms pre-packaged feed. There will also be door prizes.

Tucson Reptile & Amphibian Show & Sale

The Tucson Reptile & Amphibian Show & Sale will go on Saturday from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM, and on Sunday from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. Thousands of captive-bred snakes, tortoises, lizards, turtles and bugs will be for sale, along with cages, shirts, books and other supplies. A handful of animal experts will also be displaying exotic and venomous reptiles from the US and around the world, along with alligators and giant tortoises. Admission for this event will be $7 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 and free for children under 6, and it is good for the whole weekend. There will also be door prizes twice an hour.

Kalamazoo Reptile Show

The Kalamazoo Reptile Show will feature assorted reptiles, amphibians and other exotic animals to buy, sell and trade. Lots of professional animal breeders will be there for the public to ask questions. The animals sold at this show are also eligible for free veterinary exams at the Milwood Animal Clinic.

Admission for this event is $10 for people over 10, $2 for children 6-10 and free for children under 6; families will not pay over $15 collectively. The Kalamazoo Reptile Show will last from 10:00 AM-3:00 PM.

The Austin Reptile & Amphibian Expo will happen on Saturday from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, and on Sunday from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. It costs $8 for single admission, or $12 for both days. Children under 5 get in free as long as they are with an adult.

Many different captive-bred reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates will be on display and sale, along with supplies like books, enclosures, tools, feed and handmade arts and crafts. This event will also have reptile educational displays and raffle.

Though there will be no live animal sales at this event, they will have hundreds of unique animals from around the world to touch and see, and lots of vendors. There will be family activities like taking pictures with large reptiles and climbing into tortoise pens. Several experts will be there, such as vets and the Iguana Squad.

For the kids, they will have face painting and handmade arts and crafts. There will be a raffle, as well as some educational sessions on Native Texas Snakes and Central Texas Venomous Snakes. Admission is $8 per person, $12 for both days. It will take place on Saturday from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, and then on Sunday from 11:00 AM-4:00 PM. Children under five are free if with an adult, and there are discounts for scouts or military people in uniform.

This show has been going on around Pennsylvania for 20 years, and trying out new locations. Because of growing popularity, it is moving to bigger, more climate-controlled spaces. The shows are held from 9:00 AM-5:30 PM. Admission is $8 for adults, but is free for children 5 and under. The vendors sell anything from lizards to boas, turtles to frogs and even some spiders.

This event usually occurs every month, so if you can’t make it to these, there are some chances in the future! It has been going strong for four years.
