Sitting at a desk all day for 5 days a week can be unhealthy. Many health and exercise websites talk about taking walks, running, and moving our bodies to make up for the lack of moving we do at work. But, the reality is, we don’t always have the motivation to exercise and we have families and other responsibilities that take precedence. So, what can we do?
Well, maybe a dog can save you. In Melbourne, Australia, The Lost Dogs Home shelter started a program earlier this year called “The Human Walking Program.” The program “rescued” over 5,000 office workers by offering them the chance to walk a shelter dog during their lunch hour.
What is even better is that each dog that was part of the program found forever homes!
