There are lots of great bird-related conventions, expos and workshops going on next weekend!

Michana Bird Society 16th Annual Bird Fair

Mishawacka, Indiana

March 27

This event will be a day of fun to benefit an Avian Cause. It will take place from 10:00 AM-5:00 PM, and will cost $3 for entrance, or free for children under 10. It will include birds and bird products for sale, high-quality vendors and hourly raffles.

Kansas Cage Bird Expo and All Pet Fair

Knights of Columbus Hall

Lawrence, Kansas

March 27

This will be the largest bird fair in Kansas, which will also feature some reptiles, exotic and small animals. Admission is $5, and the fair will go on from 9:00 AM-3:30 PM. There will be raffles going on all day, along with local and national vendors. These vendors will have an assortment of birds, toys, feed, cages, seeds and more.

Neesie Mann will host a workshop from 1:30-3:30 PM, covering how to come up with creative toys for parrots by using simple, safe household items. Instead of throwing out so much of your stuff, you can learn to recycle it into fun materials for your pet bird! You can also pick up advice at how to shop at garage sales and like places to find new materials to utilize.

Bird Clubs of Virginia 26th Annual Convention

Fredericksburg Hospitality House and Conference Center

This will be a huge convention, and you must pre-register to get in for $40 both days. (You can also pay to get buffet dinner and raffle tickets.) There will be a few speakers at this event, along with a vendor room, silent auctions and lectures on proper bird grooming, training birds, holistic veterinary medicine, and moving your birds to new homes.

Exotic Bird Expo

Event Center, Grant Inn

Tuscon, Arizona

March 28

This event will go on from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, and will cost $5 for adults, $3 for people 12-18 years and free for children under 12. Part of the proceeds will go to the local non-profit bird club in order to help support birds at the local zoo and in the wild. They will hold a raffle, and people who show up will be able to get help from experienced aviculturists. There will also be vendors.

Exotic Bird Fair

Tampa, Florida

March 28

This Sunday show will cost $10 with free parking, and is free for children under 10. There will be door prizes, along with lots of exotic birds on display and sale, as well as  foods, cages and toys from assorted vendors. It will go on from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM.
