The National Bird Cage Show 2009

This is a yearly event that is going on through Saturday. The show hall and bird sale room will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Friday. The show hall will be open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the bird sale room will be open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. They will hold a few seminars; the Bird Cage Show is mostly a competition.
PEAC Seminar: Behavior Problems
Robert Morris University: Patrick Henry Center

This is a seminar that starts at 10:00 AM. It is required for adoption, and will cover problems like screaming, biting and feather destruction. It is free for PEAC members, $10 for non members. You should register in advance (they prefer if you register 3 days in advance).

This is a parrot care class, which will cover issues like health, safety, nutrition, behavior, companionship and more. It is great for experienced and new parrot owners, and you can bring the whole family. It will occur from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM.

This is a seminar about how to feed your parrot correctly. This class will cover information about proper parrot nutrition for their minds and bodies. They will provide some foods so you can practice cooking and preparation. It will take place from 12:00-2:00 PM.

This is a seminar about parrot perspectives in daily routines and interactions. It will cover several physical and social attributes in which parrots bring to their domestic lifestyles. It will take place from 2:00-4:00 PM.

This event will take place from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM. Admission is $8 for adults, $2 for kids 6-12 and free for kids under 5. It will feature birds, reptiles, seed, cages, custom aviaries, toys and more.
