Your Dogs Friend is a nonprofit organization that seeks to keep dogs out of shelters by educating dog owners.  They will be holding a workshop called “Crouching Dog, Hidden Dragon, Help for Reactive Dogs.”  It is hosted by Jules Nye, and he will explain the nature of aggressive dogs, and how you can predict their activities and what to do about it. It will be held on Saturday from 3:00-5:00 PM. Free!

Your Dogs Friend will hold a workshop called “So, You Want to Go to the Dog Park; Dogs at Play.” Robin Bennett, author of Off Leash Dog Play will guide a lecture about what you witness when your dog plays in the park. You will learn how to read emotional states and different mannerisms.  It will be from 2:00-4:00 PM. Free!

The Baltimore Humane Society and the Partnership for Animal Welfare have teamed up for this event. There will be so many things to do, such as the Paws on Parade Pledge Walk, Agility Run Course, a Pumpkin Patch (where dogs pick their own pumpkins!), Jousting, Horseback Riding, Dog Beach with 2 tons of sand, Vendor Pavilions and a dog swimming pool area. There will be a variety of dog games and contests, like Best Tail Wagger or Least Obedient, as well as Dog Bowling and Bobbing for Bones. Also a few cat activities. Probably couldn’t get any cuter than this! It is $10/person, but babies have free admission.

This workshop is called “Helping Your Adopted Dog,” and will feature Liz Marsden as speaker. Marsden has spent years of her life training shelter dogs. Most dogs from shelters end up being great, but may have some unexpected issues. She will help explain some habits that dogs have, and how to teach them new ones and break old ones. It will be from 3:00-5:00 PM. Free!
