Woofstock 2011 – Pet Adoption and Music Festival

Get ready to par-tay! This year is the 4th annual Woofstock Festival in Tacoma Washington. If you are thinking of adopting a new pet and want to hear some great music head down to Todd Field on the campus of the University of Puget Sound on August 6, 2011. The event starts at 10am and ends at 4:30pm.

There will be rescue and adoption groups from all around the state with pets looking for their forever homes. In addition to adoptable animals, vendors and non-profits will be on-hand for you to shop, learn, and talk to. You’ll get to meet and talk to your local dog daycares, pet shops, trainers, and other services that are available.

The music will be family friendly, so bring the kids if you want, and spend the whole day there. Your pet is also welcome to attend. The best part? It’s free. They ask for a donation but it’s not required.

Also, there is a special event being held at the festival. Your dog could end up being a model! City Dog Magazine will be there looking for that special pup to be on the cover of their magazine.

When: August 6 2011 10am to 4pm
Where: Todd Field on the campus of the University of Puget Sound
How much: Free
