The Tavern is a traditional New England that is comfortable and cozy. Rooms are spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating.

My stay at the Essex was so relaxing, from the moment I arrived I was made to feel extremely welcome and was offered coffee or tea to help me recharge after my long train ride. Everyone there was so kind and the on site restaurants are stellar. Highly recommend the duck!
