The Birdcage Theater Museum

518 East Allen Street @6th St. ,
Tombstone, AZ 85638
Built in 1881 this museum was originally a saloon/gambling hall/theater/brothel. It is totally appropriate for kids despite the shady past. All original down to the curtains, posters and light fixtures. Hang out for Wyatt Earp,'Doc' Holliday, Curly Bill, etc. Smaller, but very cool for Wild West history buffs. Located downtown on the busiest street--Allen Street X 6th Street. Surrounded by tons of retail shops selling anything from turquoise and other jewelry,to old fashioned photography studios, art, to t-shirts of the gunfight at the O.K. Corral which is also very nearby, as is Wyatt Earp's house, and the Boothill Cemetery--no dogs allowed in the cemetery per the City of Tombstone. Overall, though, the whole town of Tombstone is very dog friendly, at least from our experience with our small dog and watching lots of other dogs enjoying the same.
