Solvang - Pet-Friendly Places

Buttonwood Farm Winery & Vineyard has a picnic to enjoy in the gardens around the Tasting Room. Children are welcome in the tasting room as are well-behaved dogs on a leash. However, major events at the vineyard pond do not allow for dogs due to health department regulations.

Solvang is a unique Danish Village located on the California's Central Coast. This is a Danish style restaurant that also has a beer garden for outdoor seating. My dog has been a regular here for 2 1/2 years and we've seen dogs of all sizes here. The waitresses usually offer to bring out a water bowl. We've asked for a paper dish to serve the dog's food, and we were given a regular stoneware dish to use. This is a very dog friendly tourist oriented town with a nice, smaller park in the center of town that allows leashed dogs. We've been allowed in most all the shops provided they're not serving food. Don't miss restaurant's fantastic fresh homemade bread!
