Chatfield has a specific "dog off leash" area with 2 lakes where you can take your dog for a walk or a swim. Cherry Creek requires all dogs to be on a leash. The areas are very natural with wildlife etc. to enjoy with your pooch. Both charge a $5 fee or state park pass.
