HUGE dog park, with a large separate run for small dogs, with multiple covered picnic tables and benches, benches placed under trees, dog toys and balls everywhere, free doggie bags supplied, and many running fresh water bowls. It has separate double entry gates, two of each, so you can avoid the ones coming or going. It is so big, you can be alone with your dog/dogs, or join a group. You get almost as much exercise as your dog.

It is located on 17th St. east of Beneva Road. There are double gates to get into the pet area. There are 2 sections, one for small dogs under 20 lbs. and another for larger dogs. It is open until sunset. There are doggie bag dispensers, a fresh water station and shaded picnic tables, courtesy of Sarasota County.

At Word of Mouth Downtown canine guests receive complimentary gourmet treats and their own iced water bowls, while their human companions choose from an array of fresh selections from the menu and daily special board.
