Brusters is a great place to go for ice-cream, and its very pet friendly as well. When you bring your dog, they will give your dog a small bowl of vanilla ice-cream topped with a dog biscuit, for free. Brusters is a chain so look around. There are a lot of them in Georgia. We went to one in Macon, Georgia, on Vineville Avenue. They were all very nice and my dog loves the ice-cream!

Sope Creek National Recreation Area

Paper Mill Rd.,
Marietta, GA
Park entrance is on Paper Mill Road between Terrell Mill Road and Johnson Ferry Road. Pay $2 to park. This is a great place to take dogs for a hike/swim. Take the path past Sibley Lake and start heading down the trail towards the creek and the old paper mill ruins. There are lots of rounded rocks, rapids and tide pools at the creek, which dogs just LOVE to romp around in. But bring a towel for them, that water can be chilly, even in the Summer!
