Mayslake Forest Preserve has a dog exercise area. There are always at least 10-20 dogs most times and is kept very clean. There are bags available and a lake with a trail around it for walking. Take Route 83 South to 31st Street. Turn right onto 31st and a left at the first light onto Pasquel. It is about 1/4 mile on your right.

A grassy 2.7-acre off leash dog park located in Channelside Park, Pooch Park has a separate agility area and one for small dogs, as well as trails and doggy water fountains. Operated jointly by the City of Evanston and the Skokie Park District, this is a members only park. Membership is $45 for the first dog and $10 for each additional dog. Open 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Tinley Park
Part of the Forest Preserves of Cook County, Bremen Grove offers 7 acres for your pup to explore off leash, with areas dedicated to large and small dogs. There is also a doggy water fountain, and the park connects to 33 miles of trails (your put must be on leash if you hike). To use the Forest Preserves off leash area, you must purchase an annual membership, which is $60 annually per dog for residents and $120 for nonresidents.

Chicago Northwest KOA in Union IL is a pet friendly campgrounds. Donley's Wild West Town next door, visit the Illinois Railway museum, see Santa's Village Azoosment Park, visit Six Flags Great America, cool off at Magic Waters near Rockford or in our own crystal clear pool.
