Bookstore with seating and coffee shop area - near a nice pond/lake with a walking path around it. Also with a Corner Bakery restaurant nearby that allows you to sit outside with your dogs. Have been in the book store with one of my Great Danes. We had a blast!
Grantsville
Located at the mouth of the Savage River Reservoir, you can enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, swimming and hunting with your pet.
Campsites are available for tents. The park has a group shelter for up to 25 people.
Dogs may be with owners in the camping and hiking areas. Must be on a leash. Pet clean-up is required.
Grasonville
Bring Fido if you plan on sitting outdoors.
Greenbelt
Lake Armestia has a paved path which surrounds the lake. This is an excellent spot to take your critter for a run or rollerblade, if you dare. The lake is accessible via Rte 193. Signs are readily visible. The road does wind around quite a bit, and does go through a slightly industrial area. The lake is located right next to a park police station, so do not fear. This lake is part of the Washington path system that goes from Washington, DC through many different parts of suburban Maryland. All parts of the path are paved.
Greenbelt Lake. Take the Beltway and get off at Exit 202 Bladensburg/Greenbelt. At top of ramp turn right. At the light that is immediately there, turn right again. The parking lot enterance is approximately 300 yards up the road on the right

Patuxent Wildlife Refuge has many scenic nature trails and you are allowed to take your dogs there as long as you have them on a leash. They are allowed on the trails (and the signs say so). It's a good idea to check in at the visitors center first.

Oakland
No dogs allowed in the park between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Between Labor Day and Memorial Day they are allowed on a leash. They are not allowed at any time in the cabins. Pet clean-up is required.

Ocean City
Dogs welcome on the patio
Pets are permitted in the Maryland portion of the National Seashore. All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Owners are responsible for pet behavior including barking and cleaning up waste.
Pets are completely prohibited in the following areas:
- All backcountry campsites
- Nature trails
- Lifeguard-protected beach
- The State Park
- North of the State Park to the Ocean City inlet
- The entire Virginia portion of Assateague Island
Pets are prohibited in the entire Virginia portion of Assateague Island, even in your car. The land area on the Virginia portion of Assateague Island is a National Wildlife Refuge and National Park.
