Aut Bar

315 Braun Court,
Ann Arbor, MI 48102
Pet Friendly Aut Bar in Ann Arbor, MI
We love this restaurant/bar, which advertises itself as “serving the men and women of the gay community, their family, and friends.” It has a wonderful pet-friendly patio where you can enjoy a drink (maybe choose from one of the dozen Michigan beers they have available, or a deliciously quenching craft cocktail like the Blood Orange Gin Fizz). There is an eclectic fusion-flavors bistro/pub-style dinner menu, with lots of vegetarian options. We love their Avocado Fries served with chipotle aioli, Crispy Dragon Roll, and Cuban Re-Mix made with pork carnitas. They also serve brunch on the weekends offering a host of Mexican specialties and 8 different kinds of omelettes. Open Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 11 p.m., Friday 4 p.m. to 1 a.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Biercamp

1643 S. State Street,
Ann Arbor, MI 48104
How can you not love a pet-friendly biergarten that’s also a meat shop? All the beers are brewed in house, and you can enjoy them by the glass or get a growler to go. The menu changes through the week, with selections that can include Backwoods Brisket Sandwich with Sweet Jalapeno Mustard & Slaw, Chili Cheese Tater Tots, and 16-Hour Pulled Pork Sandwich. Biercamp smokes and cures all its own meats and sausages, which you can buy from their retail store and take to go. Open Thursday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Fleetwood Diner

300 South Ashley Street,
Ann Arbor, MI 48104
Sometimes only a diner will do, and this one is old school to the max, with its Airstream good looks and bright-colored neon sign. And you get to enjoy it with your pooch at one of the tables in their pet-friendly outdoor seating. They are open 24 hours a day and pride themselves in giving you want when you want, whether it’s their famous Original Hippie Breakfast (two eggs any style, Hippie Hash—hash browns layered with grilled onions, tomatoes, peppers, broccoli, and mushrooms, and topped with feta—and toast) at 5 p.m. or a steak at 4 in the morning
