They will possibly be greeted by Milo the Bichon Frise (unless he's busy taking one of many power naps under the desk). Milo may invite your four-legger to run a mile or two with him on his in- store treadmill, but not before they are offered a bowl of water and a healthy biscuit. Please don't leave your pet in a hot car....bring them in!

Very cool store especially for animals. Special "Ice cream" just for dogs. Walled in sitting areas with ties for leashes. Human Ice Cream store, right next door. They will watch your dogs, while you go get your ice cream!

Since there are no automobiles on the island and the only way to get there is by ferry, the Shepler's Ferry takes pets along with their owners on the trip across the Straits of Machinaw. There is no cost for the pet to ride the ferry and they can sit anywhere they like within the ferry as long as it is not on a bench. Once on the island most of the shops allow pets to shop with their owners to insure they purchase exactly the right item to commemorate their trip. Some restaurants will allow the pet to accompany their owner on the deck for outdoor dining which is an extra bonus. Since it is a no auto stop the mode of transportation is horse drawn carriage. Some allow pets but it depends on the attitude of the horses on any particular day.
