Nordhouse Dunes offers miles of trails to explore on the shore of Lake Michigan. Natural features include sand dunes, wooded areas, marshes, interdunal ponds, and beaches. Dogs must be leashed at all times while exploring Nordhouse Dunes. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are also permitted in the campground.
Your pet will love the chance to run off-leash at this fenced, 1/2-acre dog park near the beach with a shaded area and picnic tables. Although the dog park is near the beach, there is no water access.
First Street Beach, located within Douglas Park, is dog-friendly throughout much of the year. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, though, dogs are not permitted on the beach at any time. Dogs should be kept leashed at all times in accordance with city ordinances.

Douglas Park offers a dog-friendly beach area between the pier heads. The entrance is located next to the Rotary Observation Deck. Please make sure to follow all rules for the dog beach.

There is a dog beach at the Northern end of the park. Dogs must be leashed in the sand, but are allowed off-leash in the water. The dog-friendly area is clearly marked.
Myrtle Beach
A lovely setting for large and small dogs - in adjacent double-gate entry parks. Plenty of grass, shade, some gentle hills on the large dog side. There are in-ground water 'fountains' for the dogs. This set of parks is surrounded by a 6 ft. chain link fence. There are pooh bags provided in frequently filled dispensers. Tennis balls are generously donated by a local tennis club. Local dog-owners frequent the park and are friendly answering any questions about the area (vets, groomers, beaches and the like) The park is sprayed and mulch is freshened each quarter and is closed for 3 weekdays during that time. Humans have concrete paved walkways, benches and a generous number of trash cans throughout. Parking is free. There is a portable bathroom next to the park. And the park is next to the YMCA. Dogs are not allowed in the YMCA building.
Naubinway
Anchor In Naubinway delivers great tasting treats, deli items and Schuil Coffees and Teas. Dogs welcome at the outdoor tables.
Niles
This drive-through restaurant for dogs also has a bakery with fresh treats, one-on-one pet nanny services, a U-Wash pet wash and natural chew toys.

The Saturn of Saginaw Dealership on Bay Road has been super accommodating when I have brought my great dane/lab dog with me when I have needed service on my car. We hang out and watch tv in the show room, or check out the cool new cars my "puppy" will not fit in. The dealership is located on Bay Road just north of Tittabawassee Road in Saginaw, Michigan.
Saint Joseph
Was just in Saint Joseph Michigan for a weekend get away. we found the nicest bakery just for pets . its at 613 broad street in the town town area over looking silver beach and thier lighthouse. our baby was welcomed into the store as were alot of other pets. their we found dozens of baked goods just for canines and some for felines also. the pets can eat them their or take them home. they have tables with umbrelas set up so pet owners can sit and rest and talk bettween each other. they even take pictures of the pets and put them up on the wall called fuzzybutz buddy club.It was a great experience.The whole town seemed pet friendly. The place has a cute name that caught my eye and made me smile. Its Fuzzybutz pet bakery. they also have tons of items for our pet we have never seen before. c
From I96 take Exit 22. Go west to the first road then south (left). The entrance is about 500 feet on your right. Dogs allowed on leash. Primitive bathrooms. Garbage dropoff. Please Note! It is a long walk to the beach (about 1/2 mile) over dunes. Not for the faint of heart and watch you dog's feet - that sand can get hot!

I would like to tell you about a place I frequent with my weiner-dog, Ollie. It's called Decadant Dogs and it's in South Haven, Michigan. It is in the middle of a row of typical tourist shops and is not far from the beach. They sell many dog items, but they also have a doggie bakery. And they welcome dogs in the business. So it's always been a great place to stop on our way home from the beach where Ollie can get some water and a treat.
