It is in fact, just a friendly neighborhood hardware store with pet-friendly folks! The only "pet-friendly amenities" are dog treats for canine customers! While I do patronize the store for most of my hardware needs, my dog and I stop in whenever we're in the neighborhood just to say "hi" (and for the treats!).
Bob's Java Hut is open Monday through Thursday from 6am to 11pm, Friday from 6am to midnight, Saturday 7am to midnight and Sunday 7am to 11pm. 365 days a year. Calm dogs are welcome at the outside seating.

This 1.6 acre dog park was one of the first dog parks in Minneapolis, and is a double-gated, fenced-in area that is located in the southern part of Riverside Park. This dog park has a lot of wood chips, so it gets a bit muddy when it is rainy. It is open from 6:00 AM - Midnight daily.
The Gateway Park Play Area is a small downtown dog park that has a water bowl feature, benches, little grass ottomans, mature trees and fencing. It is operated by Dog Grounds.
K-9 Cafe Dog Bakery, in Minneapolis, MN, corner of South 28th Avenue and Minnehaha Parkway. Dogs are welcome inside, fresh water for dogs always available, tables/chairs inside (and outside, weather permitting). This off-leash dog park is situated on the north side of Loring Park, and is about a quarter acre in size. There is grass, boulders, trees, a bridge and gravel. Its hours are 6:00 AM - Midnight.

Minnehaha Cafe-very good food and they allow dogs out side on the patio. The owner has a dog who is often there sitting outside he has a black lab I believe. I just tie my dog to one of the tables or a bench while I can enjoy lunch or coffee-plus Minnehaha dog park is very close great place to take your dog!

A good half-day walk, with a view of the downtown Minneapolis skyline. Pillsbury Park--and the Stonewalk Bridge at St. Anthony Falls--is a dog-friendly place anytime.
A very cool locally-owned used-bookstore attached to a very cool locally-owned coffee shop. It is in the Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis...a quaint (?) and quirky area with a food co-op, bakery, hardware store, kids' toy store, kids' book store, butcher shop...etc. (Sounds pretty cool, huh?)
This fenced dog park is 2.3 acres in size, located across the street from the Columbia Golf Learning Center. It is open from 6:00 AM - Midnight, and it features benches, a double-gated entrance, waste bags and trash cans. This park is located in greater Columbia Park, where dogs can be on leash.
