I am the proud parent of a Jack Russell Terrier named Fred. I love to take him with to as many places that will allow him. We are frequent shoppers at Nordstrom in the Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey. I am 28 years old and refuse to go anywhere without my best friend. He makes shopping that much more fun! When we enter the store, the welcoming staff at the courtesy desk ask if I would like them to watch Fred while I do my shopping and are quick to offer water for Fred. As trying on clothes might be easier, I would much prefer to have him by my side. I mean, I purposely brought him in with me, why wouldn't I want him to sit on their plush seats while I check out the latest that Salon Shoes has to offer! And he's always a conversation starter. This five-acre off leash dog park is just a short car ride from Princeton. It has separate areas for smaller and larger dogs, as well as an agility course, tunnels and hills, a doggy water fountain, and sheltered picnic tables. It has both shaded and open areas. Open sunrise to sunset.
Plainsboro
A short ride from Princeton, this off leash dog park has areas for smaller and larger dogs, each with its own entrance. The large dog section has a doggy water fountain. This park has very little shade. Open sunrise to sunset.

Fantastic steakhouse menu you can enjoy with your doggo on their beautiful pet friendly sidewalk patio. All the classics are here: Iceberg Wedge, Caesar Salad, Chilled Seafood Tower, 16-ounce Pork Chop with Bacon-Onion Jam, Rack of Lamb, and all manner of steak. Open Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday & Saturday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday & Monday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
This off leash dog park is 5 3/4 acres, with three separate areas for small, medium, and large dogs. Open daily 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. You must become a member to use this park and there is a fee, $100/year for residents, $200 for nonresidents, or $20/month for residents, $40 for nonresidents.

For lunch or dinner, pick from such delicious options as Crab Stuffed Portabella, Crispy Eggplant Tower, Broccoli Rabe Bowties, or Saltimbocca. Open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday & Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight, Sunday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
A local institution that will welcome you and your pooch at one of the pet-friendly tables on their deck. Come for drinks or order off their classic pub-style menu. The vibe is fun and laid back; in fact, the owners had their motto formally trademarked: “Where Every Hour is Happy Hour.” That’s our kind of place. And on the weekends, there’s either a DJ or live band. Open Monday 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Sunday noon to midnight.
Our favorite when it’s got to be seafood. The raw bar offers 14 different kinds of oysters and clams.
