It's because you want something to grab onto when the G-forces cram your tongue into your lower intestinal tract and you need someone to blame for that mess in your roller-coaster car when it comes to a racheting stop.

Well, the bad news is you can't take your pets on the rides. But the good news is you can take them with you if you are planning a day trip to an amusement park and want to kennel them or have a family member (that wussy brother of yours) watch them while you get your ya-yas out.
