Did you ever walk around a corner and suddenly see three hundred dachshunds dressed like hot dogs in a bun? Probably not, but you could if you ever headed out to a Wienerfest that encourages such behavior. Or to the hundreds, even thousands of other events around the country that endorse all types of charity, benefits, socials and causes both good and whacky—including rescue fundraising, walks for cancer and other afflictions, as well as more lighthearted fests that pair Beagles and beer, Dalmations and dock diving, felines and fashion, Airedales and art and every other conceivable combination of animal and human do-gooding, craziness and fun. You're welcome to bring your dog or your bird or even your lizard, just make sure that you have proof of current age-appropriate immunizations (if applicable) and that your canine companion is on a non-retractable lead.
The Morris County Tourism Bureau will host their Morris County Holly Walk 2017 on Saturday December 2nd and Sunday December 3rd. Visit six local historic sites decorated for the holidays over the course of a weekend.

Enjoy wine from some of Virginia's finest wineries while listening to good music and visiting art, craft and food vendors. Dogtober Fest on Croker Street in Beaumont. It begins at the Giant Fire Hydrant and ends at Croker Street. It is in October every year. They have events like exercise and spas for dogs. They were even blessing the dogs there. Plenty of non-profit booths and look-alike and best-dressed contests. There is a short pet parade at the beginning of the day. My dogs just loved it.
