Hilton Head Island - Pet-Friendly Beaches

Hours: Daily; dogs allowed at different times seasonally Cost: Free Dogs are allowed on Hilton Head beaches and must be on a leash between 10 am and 5 pm from April 1 through the Thursday before Memorial Day, and must be leashed between the hours of 10 am and 5 pm the Tuesday after Labor Day through September 30. Dogs must be on leash or under positive voice control at all other times. Dogs not permitted between 10 am and 5 pm from the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day. Persons in control of animals on the beach are required to remove and properly dispose of the animal's excrement. Please note that the Beaufort County Sheriff's Department patrols the beaches and enforces all regulations. Violators of beach regulations are subject to fines up to $500 per each offense.
