Huntington Beach State Park is located in MURRELLS INLET, SC on Hwy 17. Dogs on leashes are welcomed. There is beach access along with outdoor showers to rinse off the sand. There are covered picnic areas throughout the park along with mossy-draped oaks to shade the trails. Seasonal passes may be gotten to allow unlimited entry to this park and the Myrtle Beach State Park (20 min North).

From May 1 through Labor Day, dogs are allowed on the beach only before 10:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. From the day after Labor Day to April 30 each year, dogs are allowed on the beach at any time of day. Dogs and bicycles are allowed on the boardwalk only between 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. from May 1 through Labor Day. From the day after Labor Day to April 30 each year, dogs and bicycles are allowed on the boardwalk at any time of day. At all times when dogs are allowed on the beach or boardwalk, they must be on a leash that's seven feet or shorter, and you must pick up and properly dispose of the droppings.
A great place to take your pets camping. They have lots of trails,picnic areas and it's located on the ocean. What I like is that you don't have to drive to the beach from your camp site, just walk. Your dogs will love it, especially when they get down on the beach and in the water.It's also a very affordable place to camp with your animals. Highly recommended.

Leashed dogs are permitted on the trails and in most of the outdoor areas of Myrtle Beach State Park. However, dogs are not permitted on any beaches in the park from 10:00 am-5:00 pm, May 1-Labor Day. Dogs must be leashed at all times, and humans must always clean up after their pets.
