Eight Mile Beach has free beach parking, horse rentals and about 1 mile of beach where leashes are optional. Many of the locals take their dogs to run there. To get there, take Hwy 87 (Seawall Blvd.) There is a stoplight at Eight Mile Road, (Look for the horse rental billboard), turn left, the beach is less than 1/4 mile off the highway. Bring your own water.
