If you are ever in Houston, Texas, Bill Archer Dog Park is a great place to bring your dog. There are two separate parks for big dogs and little dogs sprawled across several acres. There is a giant dog bone shaped pool at the entrance and plenty of places to explore with plenty of water fountains for your dog. There is also an obstacle course that they can play in. Overall, the park is very clean and the owners do an excellent job policing their pets. Very highly recommended. Open 7 a.m. to sunset.

Bring your dog while you eat in the enclosed patio that is friendly to dogs. Fan-cooled in the summer, and heated in the cooler months, your dog will love it here!

A wonderful neighborhood restaurant/bar with a huge canopied outdoor patio where your pooch is always welcome. There are tons of beers to choose from on tap or in cans or bottles, as well as wine and cocktails. And they are so pet friendly that they carry Bowser Beer, the beer for dogs! (Don’t worry, it doesn’t contain alcohol!) If you work up a hunger with all that elbow lifting, there’s a great selection of burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, nachos, and much more. Open Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday & Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.

This is a place to come and hang. The pet-friendly outdoor garden area is expansive and beautifully landscaped with native plants, and has been conceived as a community space, where film screenings, live music, and other events are often hosted. Grab a chair, or grab a hammock and chill with your pup. Axelrad is super dog friendly. Thirty beers are on tap; Axelrad’s does not sell food but you are welcome to order from Luigi’s Pizzeria next door. Open Sunday through Wednesday noon to 1 a.m., Thursday through Saturday noon to 2 a.m.

This restaurant first started out as a food truck. It has reimagined the taco with Pan-Asian flavors, plus a good dose of Southern thrown in. Some of our favorites are the Chicken Fried Oyster Taco, Tofu Tikka Masala Taco, and the Smoked Brisket Taco. We also love their brunch offerings, like the BELT Taco, made with egg, pork belly, lettuce, and tomato. They’ve also got nachos, quesadillas, salads, and lots of starters on the menu, all of which you enjoy at one of the tables on their pet-friendly patio.
