Washington - Pet-Friendly Sightseeing

1

The Mall

Washington, DC
Your dog might not be able to run for office, but he can run his tail off at the Mall--from the Capitol to the Washington Monument. Dogs are officially restricted to leashes, but we see an awful lot of them off leash playing Frisbee with their owners. Hey, if you have a secret desire to rebel and be a scofflaw and break a stupid little rule, here's the place to do it--right under the nose of The Man. It's a very American thing to do and can be explained in court as "exercising my patriotic birthright, Your Honor, Your Reverence, Sir."
