There are wonderful tandoori offerings, from Garlic Naan to Rack of Lamb marinated with ginger, garlic, and garam masala to Paneer Tikka. If you’re in the mood for something saucy, try Chicken Korma, Shrimp Tikka Vindaloo, or Lamb Masala. There are lots of vegetarian offerings, as well as biryani. And you can quench the fire with a cooling Mango Lassi.

Delicious pizza and an astonishing selection of beers, which you can stay and enjoy at one of the ten pet-friendly tables in their outdoor seating section or take to go. They have 25 beers on tap (have a pint or get a growler) and more than 1,000 beers from 200 breweries. Order a traditional tomato pie (as they call pizza down Philly way) or go gourmet with a Philly Cheesesteak Pizza, a Greek Goddess (with feta, olives, and garlic), White Garlic Shrimp & Capicola, or a Chicken Parm Pizza. There are also burgers, hoagies, grinders, wraps, and more. Open seven days a week 10 a.m. to midnight.
Come and choose from multiple craft beers on tap from Italy and the U.S. and tasty bar food, like Srirachi Shrimp, Wood-Fired Baby Back Ribs, and Anthony’s Stuffed Stromboli in Ariano’s pet-friendly open-air seating section. They also have a full range of offerings for lunch and dinner. Ariano is open seven days a week.
One of Swarthmore's current residents is Izzy, a standard poodle puppy who came on board last year at the health and wellness center on campus to earn her therapy-dog certification, much to the delight of students looking for a pet-friendly way to de-stress. Izzy has open office hours every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, and students can also schedule one-on-one appointments.
Beyond the college, there is another destination at the campus, The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College. You and your pup (on leash) can explore its more than 350 dog-friendly acres of grounds containing over 4,000 plant varieties, including its nationally recognized collections of conifers, witchhazels, crabapples, cherry trees, hollies, hydrangeas, magnolias, and tree peonies. No matter what time of the year you visit, there is always something to see.

Ariano Restaurant & Bar has craft beers on tap from the U.S. and Italy and a tasty menu that includes options like Sriracha Shrimp and Wood-Fired Baby Back Ribs. Pinocchio's Restaurant & Beer Garden to Go offers an incredible selection of pizzas, like Philly Cheesesteak Pizza and White Garlic Shrimp & Capicola Pizza, or you can keep it simple and go with a traditional tomato pie. Whatever you choose, wash it down with one of the thousand beers from 200 breweries they carry. Both restaurants have pet friendly outdoor seating.
