For cat owners and lovers, you can't go to the Florida Keys without visiting Ernest Hemingway's home on Key West, where he lived and wrote for ten years. In addition to it being a museum, it is also the sanctuary of more than 60 cats, many of them polydactyl (six-toed) and descended from a six-toed tomcat given to Papa Hemingway by an acquaintance who was a sea captain.
The Keys are a fun place to visit all year round and the annual weeklong Fantasy Fest held the last week of October is a good reason to head on down. There are a ton of activities but one you and your pet can do together is the Pet Masquerade and Parade. You and your pet can register to participate or just enjoy the crazy creativity of it.

Pet Policy: Pet Policy - $50 per stay for the first pet and $25 per stay for each additional pet. All pets must be leashed, house broken, people-friendly, non-aggressive, and quiet. Dogs cannot be left alone in the room unless crated. Large dog crate available upon request for a one-time fee of $10. Excessive damages due to non-housebroken behavior will be charged to the credit card on file. We reserve the right to refuse service to guests with a disruptive dog with no refund on outstanding nights.
