Rumor has it that Orlando was named after a Shakespeare character in As You Like It. We're relieved, then, that it wasn't called Abhorson, or Dr. Butts or Froth or Dull or Elbow or Launcelot Gobbo or any of the thousand of other characters in Shakespeare plays. Maybe only Dogberry (from Much Ado About Nothing) would be more fitting. That's because Orlando is extremely dog-friendly and has tons of things to do and places to stay for you and your pet. Have a bite at the Brick House Tavern or Dexter's of Thornton Park and then walk along the Bear Creek Nature Trail or the Yucatan Dog Park. As far as places to stay, Orlando is the biggest tourist destination in the whole wide world (over 66 million people visited it in 2015) so you and your pet will have no problem finding a place to sleep.
