When I arrived, the building is in major disrepair. Hurricane Helene damaged the front office, the signage and some of parking lot. It looked like there was rooms booked as there were cars on the lot in front of hotel room doors but there was no signage instructing one to check in. I attempted to send a message via hotels.com and to call the hotel itself numerous times but to no avail. After an hour and a half on phone with hotels com I got another reservation

I wasn't happy when i walked in and seen roaches in the bathroom and on the bathroom counter near the sick. The towels, wash clothes and hand towels were not sterile. Worst part of it all was, 1 out of 6 days we had hot water! When we shared with property management staff, we heard hot water in 30 minutes. I think 2 of the days should be refunded. Also, we didn't have the continental breakfast. We spent money that we hadn't planned on.

They would only take cash. They had no wi do or cable. I didn’t stay there. There were severe hurricanes in the area weeks ago. Every one else was booked. I had to drive 45 miles to a new hotel. Why was this even showing available?

When I got there the front of the hotel had been ripped off with I sign that said the office was now in room 119. When I got to room 119 the Manager said all reservations had been canceled and refunded. I never got my refund and Hotels.com is doing nothing about it. I will never use Hotels.com again them and Econ lodge are a bunch of thieves. Do yourself a favor and stay away from both.

We were turned away, we did not stay, due to the damage of Hurricane Helene, understandably due to the wreckage. The bigger problem, they attempted to contact, and gave up after three times, and then tell me, “sorry for your luck.” This is a real testament to their customer service and, real business model.

Was in need of a safer place to stay during Hurricane Helene. Didn’t sleep at all, scared the roof that tore off was going to come through our window. Power went out, booked room for 2 nights because we wasn’t sure we was going to have a home to return to, we checked out the next morning in hopes that we can be refunded for 1 night, but no one was up front to take our room key back, we had to push it in between the chained up doors to the lobby. I am hoping something can be resolved about this, if someone can contact me.

Stayed during the hurricane. Tin came off the roof and landed on people's cars. The owner left after moving the tin ( so people could not get pictures) then chain locked the office door and left or hid like a coward. We couldn't even check out so we had to leave our door key in the room. No soap no shampoo. Pillows looked like they came out the trash. Roaches. Door lick didn't work. Never stay here. Power lines and trees was blocking the driveways. Guest had to help each other get out safely. What a piece of crap he was to leave us all there 😡
