Red Roof Inn Tucson Downtown University

It was very close to the University of Arizona. The room was very clean and no issues. Felt safe and parking was not an issue. The only issue was that the pool was very cloudy and that discouraged us from using it because we were unsure how often it was cleaned and maintained. It Would have been nice to use the pool the weather was 98 degrees. Other than that it was a nice stay. Convenient for us.

Upon trying to check into Red Roof Inn we were told they would not be able to accommodate us and a room would be saved for us at a Motel 6 near the airport. Arriving at the Motel 6, the front desk staff was very kind, but the room was very unkept, the sheets and towels were dirty with stains, and some of the furniture was missing pieces. It’s clear there was a renovation underway, and the 2 star rating was evident.

the place is surface nice, but cracks in walls shower head falling off, refrigerator seal broken etc. The smell of 'cleaner' was nauseating and overpowering.

Seedy neighborhood and other patrons seemed to be homeless. Room was renovated and ok. Bathtub needs to be changed out.
