Extended stay as in people living there. And it felt and smelt like it. Like a college dorm but dirtier.
It smelled like men’s cologne, weed and rice. The room was very outdated and dirty. A cheep dive hotel.
The front desk area was the first sign. However the receptionist was very nice and understood our reason for leaving.

I didn't want to spend $300.00 a night for a hotel in Stamford, CT, so I booked a hotel in Norwalk, CT, the next town over for $194.00. Check in was a little slow. Person behind the desk was multitasking bringing down some linen in the elevator. I waited about 10 minutes till she arrived. She was very nice and the check in was fast once she arrived.
I asked her what a good place would be to park in relation to my room. She said in the back, there is a side door that works with your key. In the back, I saw numerous cars with newspapers on the windows, cars filled with all a person's belongings, like a kid heading off to college, people smoking from their cars, etc. Migrants or homeless people must be staying here as well I thought. I decided to park in the front of the hotel. Inside, the elevator smelled awful to the second floor. The carpeting in the hallways was past its life expectancy and it smelled like someone was cooking Broccoli. Inside my room, the carpeting was disgusting, the couch and furniture was beat up and the vinyl floor in the kitchen was dirty. Regarding the floors, I'm in construction and the floors are plywood with carpeting over them. There were in such bad shape that you literally would be walking uphill to the bathroom and downhill towards the kitchen. On the lighter side, the bed was clean, plenty of towels in both bathrooms, water pressure was great, and TV worked fine.

I definitely was surprised with the accommodations. I had expected more amenities like they showed in the pictures. There was no gym and there was only one elevator in the entire building. The room was not bad and it had a kitchen but absolutely nothing in the kitchen. No coffee pot no silverware or nothing. I had to go downstairs and wait for somebody to assist me and ask them for the items. They were multiple families, I think they're living there, and they were hanging around the teeny weeny little Lobby. I had expected a continental breakfast and it was a room of vending machines the size of a closet and it had a coffee pot so some sugary muffins prepackaged little Debbies. It was not what I had anticipated so in that way I am very disappointed for the amount of money that I spent for the two nights. There are people sitting in front of the front door smoking cigarettes and I found that very distasteful as well. I almost feel like I was in a concrete Apartments slum with everything under lock and key. I had rented the rooms and was willing to pay more money cuz I thought it was going to be a nicer stay but comparatively I was disappointed

Supposed to have a double queen room but hotel overbooked and had 4 people share 1 bed. The hotel was extremely dirty and smelt like a different food every 4 feet. There was people hanging out outside in parking spots drinking all night. Cops were called twice waking us all up. A man was passed out cold outside of our room when we woke up. Felt extremely unsafe. Looked hotel up on Google after our stay to see It houses illegal immigrant's. This was not stated anywhere . We brought my 5 year old niece here and felt extremely unsafe. Stayed here for family weekend at sacred heart and genuinely feared for our life the entire night.
